Now that the London Olympics is in full swing, there’s no better time to start getting excited about the Pan Pacific Masters Games; the Gold Coast’s very own international multi-sport event, which will celebrate its 8th year this November.
The event takes place every two years and is expected to attract around 11,000 competitors to the region this spring for eight days of non-stop sporting action in the Gold Coast sunshine. In total, the Pan Pacific Masters features 41 different sports and disciplines, including ten pin bowling, golf, archery, clay target shooting, rugby league, swimming and Taekwondo.
There’s just as much to look forward to away from the sporting events, with a packed program of parties, live music and sports expos for competitors and spectators to enjoy. It’s a great chance to check out the best amateur athletes from all over the world in action, meet new people and unwind on the beautiful Gold Coast!
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, close to Surfers Hawaiian holiday apartments Surfers Paradise has been named as the 2012 Games Village. We hope to welcome you this spring!
